Futuristic Mixing Through Inline static mixers

Inline static mixers are designed to deliver exceptional quality and performance. Their mixing capabilities are simply superb and outstanding. Blending food products is easy after installing a static mixer in the work process; they are custom designed to deliver the output which is expected. For food industry where you need to blend items like cheese, butter or pastes, consider such mixers to be apt for the job. Product is readily mixed because of the internal element design, with maximum mixing efficiency.

Mixer in beverage industryBeverage industry is also in the list of Inline static mixers users. Mixing of fizzy soft drinks for the perfect combination can be done with the use of such mixers. The proportion of flavoring with added ingredients are mixed in no time, fizzy soda can be added once the mixture is ready. Since it does not comprise any moving part they last much longer than their dynamic mixing counterparts. Even considering the huge requirement in liters, these mixers can deliver exceptional performance.

The advantages associated with functioning of Inline static mixers in food processing units.

  • Sanitary tri-clamp end fittings are equipped with these mixers. This ensures they can be used for all food based items.
  • Timely cleaning can be performed effortlessly since they can be dismantled with ease. Opening the parts for quick cleaning is an easy task.
  • These mixers do not have any moving parts so no maintenance required.
  • Static mixers can be ordered according to custom requirements. One to twelve inch mixers and even bigger sizes are available. A custom design is direct fit and requires no alteration or modification.
  • 316 stainless steel is used which does not corrode, and is also coated with an electro polish.
  • A custom mixer can be designed to mix several items at one time; if you have a complicated mixing process then this is the best equipment which can provide great mixing.
These are some of the advantages of Inline static mixers which are designed to be used in the food industry. We always ensure that the quality is at par with the international standards.

Sanitary Mixing Solutions with Inline Static Mixers

The food and beverage industry requires only the most hygienic processing equipment. Moreover, consistency in taste and texture is a prerequisite. Recognizing this need, we at Komax Inc developed a range of inline static mixers to cater to the most complex processes while giving perfect blending solutions.

Our motionless mixers have proven to be an efficient option for the following processes:

*Blending solid and semi-solid materials such as margarine and butter, as also mixing tomato ketchup and other sauces and dips.

*Getting viscous liquids materials like jams and syrups to a healthy consistency.

*Effectively mixing light liquids such as soft drinks and other read-to-package drinks.

Komax inline static mixers have the ability to convert a single or multiple input stream into a homogeneously mixed product. Keeping in mind the hygiene aspect, our static mixers do not comprise moving parts and this is what makes them easy to remove and clean. Right from the fittings to the metal we use, everything is of top-notch quality ensuring that our mixers are adherent to the highest food safety standards. Our static mixers are made from 316 stainless steel and housed in 316 stainless steel sanitary tubing.

Komax’s Motionless Mixers Ensure Effortless Mixing Applications

It’s not for nothing that Komax has been recognized as one of the most dependable partners for static mixing units. For over four decades, we have been creating and constantly innovating path breaking technology in the field of motionless mixers.

An apt and genuine reflection of these very efforts is over 32 patents we have got in mixing and heat transfer technology. Our motionless mixers are so diverse that they have found applications in processes that involve varied mediums such as liquids, gases, slurries, sludges and particulates. And our static mixers experience entails laminar as well as turbulent flow conditions.

Among our most popular products is the Komax Triple Action Static Mixer that features a high mixing efficiency at a short mixing length. Our static mixers have found an application in sectors such as the bio fuel and petro-chemical sector, food and beverage, desalination, mining among several others.

Komax’s units such as static mixers and desuperheaters are made from the best metals and have been engineered to withstand the harshest of chemicals and substances.

Look Beyond the Conventional with Komax’s Desuperheater

At Komax, we believe that simplicity is often the foundation of great technology. And this reflects in our range of desuperheater as well. When you use these machines, you shall realize that our desuperheater does not require a long pipe down-stream and unlike contrary units, they do not require a mixing elbow preceding the temperature probe. That’s been possible mainly because our units direct the water spray upstream.

We have achieved this through our patented ‘Equalizer’ mixing module. This is the most optimal solution to reduce the temperature of superheated steam and recover the useful heat. Our innovation in the steam/water mixing system is what makes a difference to our units. And that gives us an edge over conventional units.

For nearly four decades, we have been delivering industry-changing solutions for static mixing technology. This has led us to be recognized as the leaders in the static mixing technology. We however, refuse to rest on our laurels and are constantly improvising on our strengths to meet your most challenging heat transfer requirements. Our inline static mixers and water static mixers are among our popular products.

Wafer Static Mixers

Wafer static mixers are an excellent solution for a specific type of static mixing applications. When space is at a premium, (such as in a retrofit situation), and there is not space to install a pipe style static mixer, a wafer static mixer can be used to provide mixing when the alternative is no mixing. The compact design also affords an inexpensive static mixing solution for many applications where some level of mixing is needed. Wafer static mixers work best when they are used for constant flow conditions. They are not well suited for applications that have a large difference between the minimum and maximum flow rates.

Wafer static mixers are available in all materials, including:

• Carbon Steel
• Stainless Steel
• PVC

Komax Systems offers a wide range of mixing and heating solutions including Sludge Static Mixers, Steam Heaters and Desuperheaters, Komax sludge static mixers provide maintenance free, non-plugging solutions for polymer addition to sludge for dewatering and mixing sludge streams. Our Desuperheaters are custom designed for each application and available in a wide range of materials. The Komax Equalizer technology provides consistent process performance.

CASE STUDIES

Desalination
Desalination plants depend upon fiberglass static mixers for seawater processing. Highly resistant to salt corrosion, a fiberglass mixer can provide 25+ years of service in applications such as raw water pH control, addition of antiscalant, or chlorination/dechlorinating activites.

Pulp/Paper Bleaching

For chlorine addition to pulp stock, a fiberglass mixer is a superior choice.
Fiberglass is resistant to both chlorine and chlorine dioxide. The Komax triple action mixer is used extensively in pulp/paper applications. The unique triple action mixer creates high levels of shearing that will separate the pulp fibers and ensure a consistent level of bleaching of pulp stock.

Produced Water
Fiberglass mixers are an excellent choice for oil & gas produced water applications. The FRP material is suitable for the aggressive acid gases and organic acids found in produced water, and will resist the atmospheric corrosionfound on offshore oil platforms and marine environments.
